We are very proud that our skincare range is registered by The Vegan Society. Their Trademark scheme promotes Vegan products and services through their internationally recognised Sunflower symbol. It ensures that the products which display their trademark neither contain any animal products (or by-products) nor have they or any of their ingredients been tested on animals.
This is important to Blue Labelle as it seems unnecessary to us that any product should exist at the cost of another living being. Pascale is a vegetarian and animal-lover so it seemed only natural for her to create vegan blends and register them with The Vegan Society. It's a promise that no animal ingredients will ever be included in Blue Labelle skincare.
The registration comes just before the total EU ban of animal testing in cosmetics (March 2013) which is a brilliant piece of legislation and about time too!
The Vegan Society is an educational charity that promotes and supports the vegan lifestyle. Veganism is a way of living that seeks to exclude, as far as possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing, cosmetics and any other purpose. The Society was formed in 1944 by a group of vegetarians who recognised the ethical compromises of eating eggs and dairy products.
The Society aims to make veganism an easily adopted and widely recognised approach to reducing animal and human suffering and environmental damage by means of meaningful, peaceful and factual dialogue with individuals and organisations.
