Botanical oils make excellent cleansers because oil dissolves oil. By applying a cleansing oil to your face the makeup and dirt blocking your pores is broken down & then gently washed away with water & a hot cloth. This compares to other facial cleansers which require chemicals to break down the dirt, stripping natural oils from the skin & altering pH levels resulting in over-production of sebum or dryness. Why choose these damaging products when you can cleanse gently & efficaciously with this age-old method!
Our ancient ancestors cleansed their faces (and bodies) with botanical oils, indeed it is thought to have been the first method of cleansing. Queen Cleopatra cleansed with oils & the ritual is shown in art & pottery dating back millenia.
As our facial cleansers solely contain botanical oils they are alcohol-free, & can be used for daily cleansing, deep cleansing, eye & face makeup removal, & they also make a great base under a face mask. Using 5 pumps per day will give you just under 5 months worth of applications.
